People of all ages come to The Tiger Mountain Center for Acupuncture to see Sue Foss. She has had a general practice in Acupuncture and herbology for 13 years, and often works with children. She enjoys the diversity of a general practice and finds eastern medicine to be flexible and effective for treating a broad spectrum of individuals and their concerns.
Sue began her work in the healing arts nearly twenty years ago as a massage practitioner, which has provided her with much insight into treating musculo-skeletal disorders. She finds acupuncture and herbal medicine to be tremendously helpful in relieving most pain syndromes.
While acupuncture has become very familiar to most people in the U. S., it is less well known for its effectiveness in treating children. Sue traveled to China in 2001 to study with a pediatrician at The Nanjing TCM University Hospital who has been practicing for over forty years. There she worked and played with 30-40 young patients every day.

Another lesser-known aspect of eastern medicine is that there are other techniques used besides acupuncture. With children, Sue often uses acupressure and other massage techniques, or chinese herbs. People with an aversion to needles can still reap the benefits of eastern medicine.
Sue Foss provides care in a very quiet and relaxing environment; naps are great medicine.
Lifestyle and emotional stress cause many of today's diseases, and Sue likes to assist people in making changes that will help them live healthy and happy lives.
The effectiveness of oriental medicine, with its varied techniques and rich history, continue to inspire her. She finds it very rewarding to see people regain their health, and there is always more to learn.
Sue Foss received her Master of Acupuncture degree from the Northwest Institute of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine
in 1995, and has been a licensed massage practitioner for 18 years. She is a certified Chinese herbalist and has
completed post-graduate studies in this discipline.
